Ann Arbor 2004
Where Were You When the Lights Went Out? It was quite an adventure!!
A massive storm with 95 mph winds and torrential rain downed power lines, and interrupted the competition Friday afternoon at about 2:00. We all went down to the very dark and very warm basement for quite a while until the storm danger had passed, then waited until about 4:00 before deciding that power wasn't going to make it back that afternoon (it was finally restored about 11:00 at night). We resumed competition extra early Saturday, ran until VERY late Saturday night, cancelled Final Rounds, and moved a lot of events into their timeslots Sunday morning. It was a competition that very few of us will forget. Hope you all enjoyed it!!
